About

Since I was a young girl, I've had a camera in my hand.

I never wanted to miss a significant moment in my life, or the life of my friends. Photographs were my way of remembering friends, good times, and everything inbetween.

Seems funny that, in hindsight, I didn't pursue photography as a serious artform until about 9 years ago, when I purchased my very first DSLR.

That camera opened my eyes to a whole new world of creativity. A world where I didn't just have to snap a moment and rely on my memory to create the beauty; I could embed that beauty into the image and share it with those who weren't present.

Of course, this also created a desire to learn the technical elements required to capture that beauty; and so I studied at the Australian Centre for Photography in Paddington, known for it's world-class tuition and lecturers who are well known in the photographic world (like Martin Mishkulnig, who taught me a lot about studio lighting, and ignited a dream to one day own a medium-format digital camera... one day!)

Knowing that Photoshop is an integral part of any digital photographer's repertoire, I also studied under an Adobe specialist to refine my skills in this software.

While living in Sydney, I had the privilege of working with a number of online music magazines, supplying images of live concerts in and around the city (the highlights of which would be photographing, among many other bands, UK rap outfit The Streets, and Australia's own You Am I, and if you happen to do a google search for the Temper Trap, you'll find a lot of blogs & music zines have used one of my images!). I also supplied event images for promotional use to 3D World (street press), Surry Hills and Newtown Neighborhood Centres, and Shirelive Church. This, of course, was on top of the weddings that I was photographing on a regular basis.

My subjects may have changed slightly since relocating to Harden in 2010, but the passion to embed beauty into every image I take still remains... in fact, now that I'm capturing special moments of other families, the passion is even stronger.

I look forward to meeting you and creating an image that evokes a smile every time you look at it.
